Discover Asheville: Hurricane Relief Update and Our Path Forward
As the Discover Asheville community continues to recover from the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, we want to express our deepest gratitude for the overwhelming support you’ve shown. Your donations through our Amazon wish list have been a lifeline for families in need, allowing us to distribute essentials directly into the community.
Now, as we enter the next phase of recovery, we are transitioning our efforts to partner with three incredible local organizations that will continue providing support where it’s needed most.
Shifting to Local Partnerships
Starting this December, we will wrap up the distribution of our current inventory of donated goods. Moving forward, we encourage everyone to donate directly to these trusted partners:
1. The Blessing Barn (Swannanoa, NC)
The Blessing Barn serves the community with two key initiatives:
Essentials Hub: Providing much-needed items for families in need.
Christmas Free Shopping: Families can shop for gifts and even wrap them onsite, ensuring the holidays remain joyful.
We will be delivering our final donations to The Blessing Barn, but we encourage you to contribute directly to their ongoing efforts through monetary support or their Amazon wish list.

Bounty & Soul focuses on food security and healthy nutrition by distributing fresh, wholesome food to families and offering wellness education programs.

Fly Fishing Fundraiser with Hunter Banks Fly Fishing
We are partnering with Hunter Banks Fly Fishing, a staple in Asheville's fly fishing community since 1985
HUNTER BANKS, to host a fundraising event. All proceeds will benefit BeLoved Asheville, a grassroots organization dedicated to addressing issues like homelessness and poverty in our community
